Falcons travel to Kendall Classic in Anchorage, Alaska
The Falcons open the regular season at the Kendall Classic in Anchorage, Alaska, Oct. 12-13. Air Force faces Alaska on Oct. 12 at 5:07 AT and then meets Alaska-Anchorage on Oct. 13 at 7:07 AT.

Back to the Great White North Air Force is back in the Kendall Classic for the second time in the last three years and third time overall (1999, 2010 and 2012). The Falcons travelled to Anchorage for the tournament in 2010-11 and lost to 12th-ranked Alaska-Fairbanks, 5-2, and to Alaska-Anchorage, 3-2. The Falcons also competed in the Anchorage tournament in 2003-04, falling to Alaska-Anchorage, 5-4, and beating No. 21 Miami-Ohio, 2-0. In 1999, the Falcons fell to Boston University and Niagara. AFA is 1-5 all-time in the tournament

The Rankings Air Force was ranked 19th in the preseason USCHO.com poll. The Falcons received votes in the USA Hockey/USA Today preseason poll. In the current polls (Oct. 8), AFA received votes in both polls Air Force ended last season with the highest final national ranking in school history. The Falcons were 15th in the final USA Today/USA Hockey poll. AFA was also 16th in the USCHO.com final poll. AFA finished 13th in the InsideCollegeHockey.com power rankings.
